"It was started to publish in April 1986 as scientific organ of Izmir Chest Diseases Hospital Association of Help and Encouragement of Scientific Studies. Clinical and empirical studies, case presentations and compilations in relation to chest diseases and chest surgery are predominantly published in our journal. It is published twice a year. As at 2006, our journal entered its 21. year of publication.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Patients of all institutions are served in the district policlinics (Çınarlı and Alsancak) of our hospital.
 
NewPhysical treatment unit in Çınarlı District Policlinic is opened.
 

NewOur hospital bulletin, “BizBize”, has started to be published.
 
Radiotherapy unit came into service and started accepting patients.
 
The department of patients’ rights came into service for receiving patients’ requests
 
The new surgical building (block K) has come into service.
 
Mammography, bone densitometry, Dopler ultrasonography and nuclear medical examinations are started to perform.
 
Health services are provided in all branches except plastic surgery, child surgery and brain surgery
 
NewOur hospital has qualified for ISO 9001-2002 quality certificate.
 
NewWe are the first education and research hospital entitling for the Logo of freedom of choosing physician
